WELCOME to

Located just off Interstate 69, the First Pentecostal Church of Union City has been faithfully serving the city and surrounding communities since 2010.

We are a community of believers committed to creating a space where everyone can experience the love of God in a real and powerful way. In every service, every class, and every conversation, our goal is to lift up Jesus and walk alongside each other in faith.

No matter your background or where you are in life, there’s a place for you here. Through heartfelt worship, practical Bible teaching, engaging children and youth programs, we are passionate about seeing lives transformed.

You don’t have to have it all together to walk through our doors—you just have to come. We believe God is writing a beautiful story in your life, and we’d be honored to be a part of it.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO
BE
PENTECOSTAL?

To be Pentecostal means to follow the pattern of the early Church as described in the Book of Acts, especially what happened on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2). On that day, the Holy Spirit was poured out upon believers, and they spoke in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. As Pentecostals, we believe that same experience is available today and is essential to the life of every believer.

Being Pentecostal means we believe in the power and presence of the Holy Spirit. We believe in repentance, water baptism in Jesus’ name, and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues (Acts 2:38). We seek to live holy lives, pursue a deeper relationship with God, and operate in the gifts of the Spirit.

It also means we are passionate about worship, bold in prayer, and committed to reaching the world with the Gospel. Pentecostalism isn’t just a denomination—it’s a living experience with God, grounded in Scripture, empowered by His Spirit, and focused on salvation for all.

REPENTANCE
Repentance is the first step in turning toward God. It means recognizing our sins, feeling true sorrow for them, and making a decision to change direction. To repent is to ask God for forgiveness and begin a new life aligned with His will. It’s not just about words—it’s about the heart. Through repentance, we are cleansed and made ready to receive the full work God wants to do in us.
(Luke 13:3, 2 Corinthians 7:10)
BAPTISM IN JESUS NAME
After repentance, we are baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission (removal) of our sins. This is done by full immersion in water, following the example and command of the early Church. Baptism is not just a symbol—it is a spiritual covenant where sins are washed away, and we publicly declare our faith in Jesus. The name of Jesus is essential, for it is the only name that saves.
(Acts 2:38, Romans 6:4)
The Infilling of the Holy Ghost
Just as the believers in the upper room were filled with the Spirit on the Day of Pentecost, we believe every follower of Jesus can receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. This powerful experience brings spiritual transformation, empowerment, and a deep relationship with God. The Holy Spirit guides, comforts, and equips us to live a victorious life in Christ.
(Acts 2:38, Romans 6:4)
